Thanks for stopping by!

I'm updating the website at the moment. For years, I've been using Wordpress, which is great at what it does. However, I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of functionality and the constant paywall by the development teams of some of the 'Free' plugins.

As always, the best way to do something is to do it yourself. It's been some time since I've developed a website from scratch and the new functionality available is, literally, staggering (like a pisshead on payday).

So, thanks for bearing with me while I get myself up to date with the new technology.

Currently, the following pages are pretty much finalised and ready to view:

More pages to follow, when they are ready.

No longer on Spotify, Apple Music, etc...

On a side note, I've issued a takedown notice to my music streaming service distributor (DistroKid).

The only way for the little people like myself to release their music on Apple, Amazon, Spotify etc. is to use a third party distributor, as we are not considered important enough to their businesses to deal with them direct (although, strangely enough, they seem more than happy to take up to 30% of net earned royalties from us).

In my humble opinion, the music streaming system model is broken for independent artists.

I received $24 in royalties from 4 years of global streaming, which cost me $124 in fees to keep the music on there.

In addition, the final kick in the nuts was that it cost me $3 administration fee to withdraw my own money, with an additional $2 lost to the platform's exchange spread from USD to GBP.

I'm basically sick and tired of making other people rich by writing music. So, my current business plan is to give away my music for free on here - you are hereby licensed to share, stream, download, distribute and copy it as much as you like.

My only request is, if you like what I do, please consider making a donation (however small or large it may be!) through my Revolut payment link:

I am an unsigned, self-managed artist and receive no payments from record companies for my music, which is independently released.

See you at a gig (or on the street!)

Much Love, Nige xxx
